A space and time for students (broadly defined-lifelong learners included) involved/interested in food co-ops, social and economic justice in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast to come together to learn from and about each other. Our projects range from long-established to just-getting-started and take many forms: food carts, dinners, grocery stores, catering, cafés, gardens, bulk buying clubs, CSAs, & dreams. The goals of the gathering are relationship building, skill sharing, eating, playing and strategizing to support one another in the upcoming year and beyond. This event will be organized by and for its participants--If you're interested in volunteering, facilitating a workshop, sharing a recipe, doing outreach or lending any other skills/energies to the event, send an "I'm interested!" email to [email protected]

Sliding Scale Registration: We recognize that not all of us have equal financial resources and that as students and as young people working collectively, we need to build a movement in which the inequalities that we are inheriting do not determine access to knowledge and networks. In order to make the gathering more accessible, we are using a sliding scale. Take a moment to consider your situation and determine how much, if any, you or anyone on your behalf (e.g. your school) are able to contribute. The estimated cost to make this gathering happen (including travel stipends for attendees!) is about $600, which is about $15-20 per attendee. If you are able to contribute, you can do so below!
