CoFED's 1st National Cooperative Student Leadership Summit

This January students gathered in Philadelphia to discuss cooperative leadership at CoFEDs first ever National Cooperative Leadership Summit.

They came from all over; University of British Columbia, Evergreen State University, Portland State, Humboldt, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Washington University, Beloit University, Vassar, SUNY Binghamton, University of Maryland and Guilford College all with a collective purposeThey pondered organizational structures, consensus decision making and good communication tactics. They considered the importance of institutional memory, how to lead effective meetings and best practices for conflict resolution. We shared meals, ideas and resources and bonded over everything from fundraising to coffee. We, the CoFED staff, learned so much from all of you! Thank you for coming to teach and learn with us! If you weren't able to make it to Philadelphia for the Summit don't worry, contact your Regional Organizer and they will connect you with the tools and resources you missed!
