WELCOME to CoFED's Regional Organizing Fellowship Training! We're honored to welcome a new wave of cooperative leaders and movement builders!
CoFED's Regional Organizer fellowship kicks off this August with a 10 day training for new and returning Regional Organizers in Berkeley, California!
These 5 amazing individuals come from all over the United States and bring with them a diverse array of skill sets and experiences. At the training they will learn from one another about
- fair food sourcing and food system injustices
- community building and problem solving
- the ins and outs of starting a food co-op
- meeting facilitation and consensus decision making
- the importance of mentoring and coaching.
- just to mention a few
They will work with AORTA to learn about ethical empowerment and CoFED staff members to think critically about the student cooperative movement and how best to serve the amazing students who make all of this possible!
Throughout the next year, these capable and inspiring organizers will work with students in the Northeast, throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, the Midwest, Pacific Northwest and California. They will provide student teams with resources and coaching, they will form regional networks with students, producers as well as food and cooperative movement leaders. They will learn and teach, and teach and learn.
