CoFED staff regularly organize events like convergences, coop tours, and skillsharing conference calls. If you are a student-run food coop and want to promote your team's events or just let the network know about the awesome stuff you're up to, email the deets to firstname.lastname@example.org, and she will add it to the events calendar too.
CoFED is hosting the Youth Track at this year's Coop Event in the Northwest!
The Northwest Cooperative Development Center is calling upon cooperatives large and small – farmers, growers, producers, distributors, financiers, policymakers and retailers, to share their experiences and to build relationships across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, western Montana, Minnesota, and other friends across the nation.
Do you want to be one of the new faces of the just food & economy movement that will transform our world for the better?
We're looking for students and administrators that are passionate, innovative, ambitious, and collaborative. At CoFED's Summer Institute, guest instructors and staff members provide a comprehensive curriculum to equip teams with the tools and strategies necessary to create community-based food solutions in or around their campus. This program is designed for idea-stage start-ups through existing co-ops seeking to refine or scale-up their enterprise. Eight student teams from across the country will gather for a week together in the beautiful Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in a supportive community in which to learn and build cooperatives together!
You will leave with hands-on practical experience, and a framework for cooperative business development and community organizing that improves your communication, decision-making, and relationship building. CoFED is part of a movement for a more just food and economic system. Are you ready to join? Then take the next step by joining us in this webinar!
